Ivy growing across pavement

Reported via desktop anonymously at 14:41, Monday 8 July 2024

Sent to Mid Sussex District Council and West Sussex County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6204512.

This ivy has been growing further & further across the narrow pavement of Gladstone Road, Burgess Hill for weeks. Much of it is at eye level & invisible in the dark, so it presents a hazard to pedestrians. The fence is at the S E corner of the junction of Gordon Road & Gladstone Road. BHTC seem to have had no luck in getting the owner to cut the ivy right back.

Updates

  • The occupier has done nothing whatsoever to cut back the ivy, which has grown further out across the pavement of Gladstone Road near lamp post number 4. It's been joined by 2 long bramble runners at the corner. Fed up with this anti social attitude.

  • The ivy continues to grow out across the pavement at eye-level, completely unchecked. What an anti-social attitude!
