Six weeks on, water was still escaping from this double drain and running down Old Hill, following the light rain on Saturday 24 August morning…..
I showed this to the Head of Neighbourhood Management as a problem TWO YEARS ago….
Will this EVER be resolved Bromley Council?

Thank you for your report
Our drainage service providers have attended site and are unable to cleans the drain at this location due to a stuck cover / damaged frame, so we have referred this enquiry over to our Highways department to undertake the freeing up / repair of the gully.
This report will be left open until the works have been undertaken, but please note that stuck covers are part of minor works and the repair / freeing up will take longer than our normal service aims, we are also unable to advise on a time frame for the works, but rest assured we will ensure that the works are carried out at the earliest opportunity.

Can you advise if this (and other ‘stuck’ drains in Chislehurst Ward (e.g. Summerhill, Perry Street, Centre Common Road adjacent to junction with Prince Imperial Road (now tarmaced over by Riney…..) was reported by the contractor back in June, two months ago…., when this work was planned to be undertaken?
Can you also confirm that the contractor has NOT yet been paid or that a significant retention has been held back until ALL the drain gullies in Chislehurst Ward have been cleaned out 100% PROPERLY…..
Has a 100% audit check on ALL the drain gullies in Chislehurst Ward been undertaken? If not when will it be undertaken? If it has been undertaken what are the results, findings, recommendations and conclusions?
