Vehicle with no MOT abandoned in bus stop area

Reported via mobile in the Abandoned vehicles category anonymously at 21:53, Friday 5 July 2024

Sent to Adur District Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6196612.

This vehicle with no MOT has been left in the bus stop area for over a month. It is half on the road and half on the pavement . Nobody has returned to the vehicle for over a month so it may well be stolen. It is not in a good position as the buses that stop hhete can no longer get close to the kerb so block the road when collecting or dropping off passengers. I have checked and it stated MOT had expired so again perhaps it was too costly so dumped on the road.

Updates

  • Apparently it is fine to have no mot as long as when you receive a call from the police you say no I have not abandoned the car. I was told they contacted the owner and the vehicle is not abandoned but it is still without an mot and in the same place. Not sure what the point of an mot is anymore as you obviously don't actually need one. Or of course it could be a case of the local coppers not giving a s*** like normal.
