Sign damaged by grass cutters

Reported via mobile anonymously at 09:44, Friday 5 July 2024 using FixMyStreet Pro

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council and South Oxfordshire District Council 1 minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6194043.

This sign , indicating the Garsington Sports and Social Club in Denton Lane Garsington, is 100 yards on the left, has been damaged by the recent cutting of the roadside verges. The grass hadn’t been cut for weeks due to no mow May we presume, but the sign has been hit leaving dangerous protruding metal edges and posts/sign buckled.

Council ref: ENQ241010108

  • Are there any updates yet as this has been reported to us by several people with children and dogs concerned about the damaged sign and lethal metal edges now.

  • Still damaged and still dangerous. No response from highways yet, or do you think it wasn’t your cutters that did the damage, which clearly it was.

  • Has anyone even looked at this yet or even acknowledged the highways have damaged this sign? Might not be high priority to you but lack of response is disgusting.
