  • The gully at the location has a stuck cover - once it has been released, the drainage contractors will return and clean it - this type of work is done in bulk and will take longer than usual to complete

Can you please advise WHEN these ‘stuck’ drains (especially those on the busy A222) will be cleared?

A ‘good time’ to do these on busy roads is during the relatively quieter school summer holidays…..

  • Thank you for your additional comments

Just to update stuck covers are undertaken by our Highways department as they have the appropriate tools to undertake the freeing up of gullies and unless a drain is a high priority matter these will take a little longer as this is low priority and is part of minor works.

  • Apologies that this has taken an age to resole - the contractors will attempt to clean the gullies within the next week.
