Traffic light not recognising cyclists

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6193239.

Whilst cycling late at night the traffic lights don’t recognise a cyclist has arrived and is waiting to pass through. If a car arrives then they change to green, if not they just stay red. I was forced to (carefully) cycle through the red lights (after waiting for several minutes) this morning.
