Stump causing issues

Reported via mobile in the Tree roots lifting pavement category anonymously at 16:04, Thu 4 July 2024 using FixMyStreet Pro

Sent to Bromley Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6192050.

The road is already busy, especially at school time having a school at the end of the road so parking spaces are sparse. This stump affects the road and pavement meaning you cannot park next to it, and walking on the pavement is uneven and feels unstable. Having a 12 week old baby and this being directly outside my house walking in the pram and walking past here is not easy. The tree was felled months or even more than a year ago but the stump has been abandoned and is a nuisance. I have also seen people stumble on the pathway when walking past.

  • We apologise for the delay in removing the stump. Our contractors are busy with other priority works across the Borough. You may wish to raise a separate enquiry regarding the footway as that is evaluated and repaired by a different team. A new tree will be planted at this location next planting season which is always November to April every year.
