  • Where are they putting their faeces??????????

  • Still here with waste water being dumped. Occupants have been seen leaving the woods early in morning seemingly pulling up undergarments so possible using the woods as a toilet???

  • Is there any update on this one please bromley? Even the police are concerned.

Posted by Christopher wright at 12:14, Wed 4 September 2024

  • Why can't it be towed to a caravan park where the owner will have to pay ground rent, bet they are not paying council tax whilst living in it parked on the road?

Posted anonymously at 13:16, Wed 4 September 2024

  • We are required to undertake a welfare check on the occupant in the first instance to determine the reasons for them occupying a caravan on the highway, and to determine if they are vulnerable, or have vulnerable persons residing with them. Unfortunately, we have been unable to make contact with the person concerned but are continuing our efforts to speak to them. Once a welfare check has been undertaken we will be then be in a position to determine whether a legal notice needs to be served requiring the occupant to leave the location. The report will be updated once further information become available.

  • The occupant goes out to work during the day. Trying going there in the evening/night. They drive the silver car often hooked up to caravan but I’ve also seen him in small red car

Posted anonymously at 17:06, Wed 4 September 2024

  • This 'resident' is obviously known to the council as they have moved around

The resident has changed their number plate to get around ULEZ and is dumping waste into an area that children play and onto the road.

No welfare check is needed as this is not a housing issue but a highways and health concern.

  • This has now been on going for 10 weeks and still nothing done. This caravan was moved on from another place. Why can't the council move it to one your council yards?

Posted anonymously at 09:40, Thu 5 September 2024

  • The caravan was previously parked on Ernest Grove but was not moved on by the Council as we were unable to obtain the required details to undertake the required welfare check. Once the check has been undertaken a legal notice can then be served on the occupant ordering them to move from the location.

Posted by Bromley Council at 09:47, Thu 5 September 2024

  • What Bromley are saying is once they’ve checked his welfare they can offer him a property and get rid of caravan

Posted anonymously at 10:07, Thu 5 September 2024

  • The notice will require the occupant to leave the location, and remove the caravan along with all other property. Failure to do so would be a criminal offence. We are not obliged to offer an alternative property nor would we dispose of the caravan without charge. I trust this clarifies our position.

Posted by Bromley Council at 16:02, Thu 5 September 2024

  • A welfare check has now been undertaken and the matter has been passed to the Council's legal department for consideration of a notice to leave. Updates will be posted once further information is available.

  • This is great. Thank you. As this is a regular occurrence could some signage be installed?

Posted by Chris Wright at 20:05, Tue 17 September 2024

  • Not sure signage is necessary considering it’s a known illegality. You’d have to have it on every street
