Narrow Trenching Failure - P1 Defect

B768, Dumbreck Road Southbound. At junction with Mosspark Boulevard. Left hand lane, left hand wheel track. This defect has existed for a number of years (5). To avoid the defect, vehicles are forced to move to the right in to the adjacent lane. The defect at the pedestrian crossing is over 200mm deep, and is on the left hand wheel line. Due to the potential damage, drivers are moving to the adjacent lane, sometimes not looking. I have witnesseda number of near miss RTCs. Drivers are also focussing on the defect and not other road users. This defect has been a P1 defect for over 1 year.
