Abandoned vehicle?
Reported in the Abandoned vehicles category anonymously at 14:49, Tue 7 April 2015
Sent to Adur District Council 1 minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 617377.
A red land rover discovery, Reg S656 VOF, with trailer has been parked, on the public road, Kings Road, Southwick, for the best part of 6 months. It does not have a current vehicle excise disc displayed, but due to recent changes at DVLA, it does necessarily mean that the duty has not been paid. It has not moved for 6 months. I am told by a neighbour, who lives at No 30, that the owner parks it in Southwick, to avoid on street car parking costs, that they would be liable for, as the owner lives in Hove. The vehicle is parked facing south, on the west side of the road, therefore, the rear reflectors are not visible to approaching cars, heading north.it is parked approximately 50 m from Holmbush Way.

The vehicle in question, a red land rover, continues to be parked exactly where it was on the report. There is no sign of it moving. The registered owner was contacted, I'm told, and confirmed that it had not been abandoned. Therefore, it would seem that the authorities are powerless.

Nothing has changed at all; the vehicle has not moved, and continues to look abandoned. The number of abandoned dog waste bags has continued to increase, as well as the associated smell.
