Congestion

Reported via desktop anonymously at 14:24, Sun 30 June 2024

Sent to Brighton and Hove City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6172877.

In the last 12 mnths the traffic moving North in the morning rushg hour has been progressivlely getting longer. This is clearly from the traffic signals at the junction of the Amex stadium. These have been adjusted at some point (more than once) and now approximately 10-12 cars pas towards the A27 before going red. This is causing more than a 1 mile tail-back when a year ago it was around 100-200 yards. This is not due to increased traffic but clearly the traffic signal timings. I am aware this has partly been changed to ease congestion on Brighton football matchdays but this is max once per week, not at rush hour, for about 25 weeks a year. Please look at the timing of the traffic lights outside the Amex stadium on the Falmer Road, please! MAny thanks.
