Blocked Gutters and New Lime Tree Shoots

Reported via desktop by Barry Hawkins at 11:05, Sun 30 June 2024

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6172268.

The gutters on both sides of the roads Filton Avenue and Beaufort Road and the drains at the junction are blocked with weed growth and detritus. When it rains the water then floods over the road especially at the junction of Beaufort Road and Filton Avenue and rain water pours down from Horfield Common and the Gloucester Road which is higher, making the situation worse. Add to that the Lime trees at the junction of Trubshaw Close and Filton Avenue now have prolific new growth shoots from the base of their trunks making it very difficult to see oncoming traffic when pulling out from Trubshaw Close onto Filton Avenue. These shoots need pruning back to the trunk as they make it dangerous pulling out onto Filton Avenue, especially to turn right.
