No dog poo bins

Reported via iOS anonymously at 10:59, Friday 28 June 2024

Sent to Rhondda Cynon Taf Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6166293.

This carpark by Saint Mary’s Statue, Penrhys roundabout is used by dog walkers multiple times a day. There are cars constantly back and fore all day from very early in the morning. The dog walkers then head off over the field or over to the grassed area surrounding the Statue and the amphitheater to walk their dogs. When they return to the carpark, if they have even bothered to clean up their dogs mess, then there is nowhere to deposit said excrement. This causes people to either not clean the mess as there is nowhere to put it, or they will throw the bags in the bushes. I must say this is not all of the dog walkers, some are very good and take it with them.

Updates

  • No the issue hasn’t been resolved and I think more than 1 bin would be needed because of the huge amount of dog walkers who use this area
