Vehicles park in Curtis Avenue, on the first junction on the right, making it difficult and dangerous for vehicles coming out of our close. Plus drivers coming out of Sherwood Avenue have a restricted view from the left. There has already been an accident recently attended by the police. Double yellow lines would help in this part of the road. The parking is not helped in the school holidays with people parking visiting snakes and ladders in Audlett Drive.
The installation of formal waiting restrictions (yellow lines) requires the implementation of a Traffic Regulation Order, this involves a long and expensive legal process including public consultation, I regret that Oxfordshire County Council do not cuttently have the available funding to install these restrictions. Vehicles parked in a dangerous position are committing an offence under Section 22 of the Road Traffic Act 1988 and should be reported to Thames Valley Police.
