Thank you for your report. Remember the map marker provides an estimated location, but additional information in your report description can help us identify locations. House numbers or lamp column numbers are very useful for our officers and contractors and will improve the speed and quality of our response

If you would like to do more to help our newly planted trees thrive or help older trees with their excessive low shoots, or other similar tasks, please consider joining our Tree Friends Tree Friends (bromley.gov.uk).
Trees can live for decades, if not centuries, but they require a lot of TLC in the early few years after planting to become well established and grow to their full potential.
LBB Tree Friends can make all the difference to the survival and growth of a newly planted tree near you. Join others across the across the Borough who help water trees and remove low shoots on older trees. We appreciate all small tasks you wish to contribute as an active and local Tree Buddy—it takes a Village to Raise a Tree. You can make a huge difference to the appearance of your neighbourhood - you will benefit the directly from volunteering.

Please note, bags are not designed to last more than a few seasons and are not needed to ensure a tree grows well. Watering bags help deliver water slowly to the trees allowing the soil to fully absorb approximately 40 litres of water. If the bag can hold some water, but not to capacity, it is OK. The bag can be filled twice.
We also remove the bags because as a tree grows, the roots move outwards and the area around the tree should be watered, not just close to the base of the tree.
