A24 northbound weekdays excessive queues

Sent to West Sussex County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6079674.

For the last 2 years the A24 northbound traffic to Washington roundabout A283 has been excessively long on weekdays. I can only speak for 0730-0830 hours. Frustratingly there are small or no queues for traffic at the other 3 junctions. Surely some kind of traffic control in place would ease the situation for the majority of road users at this busy junction.
