BROKEN BRIDGE RAILINGS At the boundary of Gt Sampford and Hempstead, the bridge over the brook has a gaping hole 4ft deep on one side just by the road surface, and on the other side the cement posts and metal railings have been badly damaged and thrown towards the brook probably by the recent verge-cutting tractor.
