Section of Council fence falling down
Reported via desktop in the Park Repairs category anonymously at 22:25, Tue 4 June 2024
Sent to Bromley Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6064095.
A section of the western boundary fence between the Glassmill Lane/Mill Vale estate that extends from Glassmill Lane and then along past the Mill Pond at the bottom of Church House Gardens is falling down. The section of fence here forms a boundary between the back vehicle access road of the properties on the west side of Mill Vale and the path alongside the Mill Pond. Our upstairs neighbour uses the section of road adjacent to the problem fence panel when she returns home, turning left alongside the section, and then backing into her parking place to the rear of our properties at the bottom of Glassmill Lane. If the fence falls down completely she won't be able to carry out this manoeuvre.
You recently repaired several sections of the same fence, but adjacent to our property after they were blown down during a storm in February 2022. Report reference: 3331251

The fence section that is falling down has deteriorated further since my initial report of the issue 2 weeks ago. As stated previously, our upstairs neighbour won't be able to back into her car into her parking space when she returns from work each day if the fence falls down completely. Thank you

Further to my update of 2nd July, the fence continues to deteriorate with situation now becoming critical. You indicated that your contractor had been instructed to take appropriate action on the 18th June. Nearly a month has now passed, so I would be grateful if you could indicate when this repair to the fence is going to be undertaken. Thank you for your help.

To the best of my knowledge, nobody has visited to inspect the problem.
"Our contractor has been notified to take the appropriate action" is the only action that appears to have been taken so far.......................
