Defective Lamp Standard
Reported in the Street lighting category anonymously at 20:56, Mon 16 March 2015
Sent to Dumfries and Galloway Council 3 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 606319.
Following upgrade of the power systems in the Hallpath/Hillside Crescent areas, the road lighting on poles number 268 and 269 has ceased to function.
As part of the said upgrade numerous old timber poles were removed and a couple of replacement poles installed. On one of the old poles, near the point where the power comes off Hallpath and feeds down to Townfoot, there was a pole-mounted road light. Since the pole was removed this light no longer exists and an extensive length of Hallpath is now not illuminated. A replacement light should be fixed to one of the new poles to maintain the street lighting at prior levels.
