Lane marking needs adjusting

Reported via desktop in the Road Markings category anonymously at 14:50, Tue 4 June 2024

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 1 minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6062084.

Twelve Acre Drive approaching the roundabout. Two lanes are painted, but roadworks have pushed out the left-hand pedestrian kerb, making the remaining left-hand traffic lane very narrow. Those who drive here regularly recognise this and adjust their car position. Others not knowing this, drive in the middle of the right hand lane and push/force any car in the left-hand lane to almost hit the new kerb. This could be avoided by repainting/adjusting the lane markings before an inevitable accident wating to happen.

  • Our Site Inspector has visited the site and agrees the lane marking is no longer appropriate following the realignment of the carriageway kerb works. We have instructed the Developer responsible for these works to remove the white line lane markings.
