BT OpenReach digging up road and pathway

Sent to Milton Keynes Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6060302.

Why are BT OpenReach being allowed to dig up my pathway outside my house to install fibre optic cable!? We already have the eyesore of channels dug by Vodaphone, how can it be ok for another company to do it again? We’ve had no notification of the works happening and we now have our road blocked and trucks and diggers parked up. Please explain. I will be looking for a reduction in council tax for the non maintenance of my street.
