Diesel generator spewing black smoke

The construction site behind the estate has been running for over 6 months now, using a diesel generator to supply electricity to the newly built houses. Since the works have now finished, this generator needs to be disconnected! Black diesel smoke covers the whole area, and the air gets stuck around the surrounding houses. It smells horrible, we can’t open our windows to get fresh air, instead we get a lung full of diesel smoke. This is environmentally and socially unacceptable. Please act accordingly.
