This car is not recognised by DVLA, therefore cannot be taxed, have an MOT or be insured. It has a flat tyre and a broken window, Why has it not been removed?

From my experience (I have a personal plate) if a personal number plate is on a vehicle then it should be on the DVLA system, this one is not so therefore the car has effecively no tax, no MOT and probably no insurance and is parked on a public highway and has been for sometime. How long does it take to remove these eyesores?

Personalised plates are often not registered with the dvla although the original plate will be.. This vehicle continues to be investigated and will remain on the public highway until those investigations are completed. At that point, further enforcement will be considered.

I think you are misled, all vehicles on the highway, whether displaying a personal or regular number plate would/should be recognised by DVLA. If the plate is on retention then the vehicle should be displaying an alternative (normally the original) plate. This vehicle is displaying a non recognised plate by DVLA and therefore should be removed.
