I hope this message finds you well.
Recently, bollards were installed on the road leading to Chesterton Village from the A41. This has created significant difficulties for our waste collection crew in servicing both commercial and domestic properties in the area.
Could you please confirm if the installation of these bollards is a permanent measure? Additionally, to ensure our waste collection services can continue without disruption, would it be possible to provide us with keys to lower the bollards for our crew?
Thank you for your attention to this matter. We look forward to your prompt response.

Chesterton can be accessed from the A34, B430 to Green Lane or the B430 to A4095 or A41 to Vendée Drive or Wendlebury Rd. It went out to consultation 18 months ago and there have been enough signs upfor months now to say that it will be a no through road.

Hi, Thank you for your response.
We are currently facing an issue due to the road closure. Our vehicle needs to collect a couple of bins from the commercial estate at Grange Farm. After completing work in Little Chesterton, it has to go back around to the A41, then to the M40 roundabout, and finally to Grange Farm. This detour causes additional fuel consumption, increased CO2 emissions, and adds an extra 25 minutes to our route.
Could we possibly access the key to the bollards? I assume that emergency services need to have access to it as well.
Is for Statutory Waste Collection provided by Cherwell District Council Vehicles
Thank you for your understanding.
Best regards,

Thank you for your report and apologies for the delay in a response. Could you please let us know if this is still an issue or if this has now been resolved? If this is still an issue, if possible and safe to do so, could you please provide any new images and detailed location information of the issue so we can get this raised for repair faster. Many thanks and kind regards
