Overgrown hedge blocking footpath access

Reported via mobile in the Pavements/footpaths category anonymously at 15:04, Wed 29 May 2024

Sent to Reading Borough Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6035167.

This hedge has not been cut properly for over two years. It is now blocking access to emergency services, wheelchair users, pushchair users and pedestrians as when you try to walk along there you get hit in the face by branches. This affects all residents who live in the houses alongside the path.

  • They only cut a few centimetres off the bottom, still leaving the large top part overhanging so it can still be a hindrance e.g for tall people walking by and any works people carrying equipment such as ladders along the road.
