ACCIDENT OCCURRED Station Road in in a poor state of repair

Please note the The family of three walking away in these images. The child fell over badly and had to be carried away by their mother. The closure of the Reading Station taxi rank (moved to Station Hill) means some disabled pedestrians are taking the flat route to the Friar St taxi rank. It's easier to walk that than the steps or slopes down to Station Hill. As my disabled wife and I walked the East side of Station Road we saw the pavement is in poor state of repair, the family walked past us and the child tripped over the exposed framework. This cover is one of many here subsided with exposed metalwork.
