Street cleaner came round then the grass verges were then cut

Why did the street cleaner come round to clean the streets today, then a little later all the grass verges were cut. Wouldn’t it be better to send the street cleaner round after. Then we wouldn’t have to put up with the mess of grass left in the roads and payments every time. Which in turn blows all over our drive ways and ends up growing between the slabs or bricks.

  • Thank you for your report. I can confirm that we have a schedule of grass cutting across the borough which usually begins in the spring and lasts until the autumn. With the schedule being based on maintaining a suitable set length rather than any particular cutting frequency or day, we are unable to co-ordinate this with our street cleansing service.
