Road has disintegrated on the B3053, north carriageway

Reported via desktop in the Other Road Issues category anonymously at 11:20, Monday 20 May 2024

Sent to Hampshire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5996023.

What started out as a pothole many months ago, on the junction of B3053 and School Road, has now completely disintegrated the road surface on the north carriageway, causing a danger to road user's as you are having navigate around the damaged road surface (when pulling out of School Road) by driving on the wrong side of the road onto oncoming vehicles and also potential damage to vehicles by having to drive over the broken road surface. This is now causing a loud noise issue for residents living along this road, due to vehicles hitting the broken road surface and also the increase in traffic with many heavy haulage vehicles now accessing the old Power Station site to store white vans/shipping containers, which crash and bang when driving over the damaged road at all times of the day and night. HCC did come out and repair the south carriageway several weeks ago but for some reason didn't repair the other side of the carriageway which was in a far worse state of repair. Please can a repair be raised for this as a matter of priority? - Thank you
