Car parked on grass verge and foot path

Reported via desktop in the Pavements/footpaths category anonymously at 14:44, Sat 18 May 2024

Sent to Luton Borough Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5990220.

Urgent response required from LBC

There is a contant problem for cars parked on gras verges on the roundabout.

I am reporting the parking of cars on grrass verges and on the footpath. This particular cae has been here for 10 days. It is an obstruction and dangerous to the passing pedestrians e.g. push chair and wheel chairs.

Cars parked have damaged the verges and looks ugly.

It Requires bollards and posting to stop parking.

This is also a nuisance when the footpath is blocked by cars, in particular on weekends.

Thank you

Updates

  • I woud urge the council to fine or prosecuet the driver. This is a dangerous obsrturction for wheelchair , pushchair users. LBC have been notified of the problem several times. The grass is been damaged and there is no consideration for the verges on the roundabout. A request for bollards to LBC on all the verges at Blenheim Crescent. The bollards must be affixed to stop any vehicles from parking on the verges,. I urge LBC to send an inspector to visit.
