Deep potholes

Reported via mobile in the Potholes category anonymously at 21:34, Fri 17 May 2024

Sent to Enfield Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5988499.

These potholes have been there for over 2 to 3 years, getting worse. Nearby potholes were fixed last year but these were not. Drivers are avoiding them by driving on the wrong side of the road. This is a very busy road with Sainsbury's and a nursery, secondary and a primary school. Please address this at the earliest, do not wait for a fatal accident to take place.

Updates

  • I always thought that the local council or the central government is responsible for maintaining the roads but I was told that this road is owned by a private company and that I will have to pay the land registry to find out who is the owner. Why can't the council have this information plus local or central government should make sure privately owned roads used by the public are maintained adequately.
