Large mounds of earth in road

Reported via desktop anonymously at 10:37, Monday 6 May 2024

Sent to East Hertfordshire District Council and Hertfordshire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5936610.

Following recent flooding, large mounds of earth, sand and stones have formed on the road, forcing drivers to drive on the wrong side of the road. This is a dangerous road to be having to drive on the wrong side.

Updates

  • While the large mounds of earth have been cleared, there is still a lot of dirt/stones built up on the sides of this road and Roydon Road following the flooding about a month ago. It would make sense if this was also cleared in preparation for the next flooding event which is unfortunately inevitable due to the lack of ditch maintenance.

    State changed to: Fixed
