There are TM measures in place on Whitchurch Lane roundabout as you come of Hengrove way roundabout are hazardous and poorly maintain by contractor posing a risk of injury and vehicle accidents. Firstly the cones are always strewn across the carriageway on approach and exit of the TM. Most of cones do not meet specification due to damage or missing reflective surfaces. Signs are metal and often toppled over into carriageway and not sandbagged correctly. Signing is inadequate and poorly maintained and the whole area is a hazard and cannot meet permit conditions (assuming they are being enforced?) the whole layout and design of these street works is not fit for control of traffic through them. There is also a collapsed drain now which was caused by forcing vehicles into gutter and is now an open hole with no protection. If this was a utility contractor Highways would be all over this site so I don’t understand how this particular contractor can flout the rules so openly. Suggest you get a highways inspector up there quick smart and start handing out FPNs. The whole set up is a complete joke. They have also (with highways approval I assume ) re profiled the round about destroying the surface in the process and have now temp the area which is now breaking up . I look forward to seeing an improvement in the situation rapidly.
