Dangerous pedestrian crossing point

Reported via mobile in the Road traffic signs category anonymously at 17:41, Tue 30 April 2024

Sent to Milton Keynes Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5917487.

I have previously reported this as a hazardous crossing point which needs to be assessed. Today I was nearly hit by a car as I attempted to cross. Cars come through the roundabout outside 100 Avebury Blvd heading towards the ice rink at high speed and there is poor visibility of pedestrians crossing despite this being a dropped kerb crossing point as a main route to the station (and no alternative routes) used by office workers and those visiting the ice rink (so children!). As a pedestrian I cannot see cars coming around the roundabout until the last few seconds, nor can they see me. Visibility is blocked to the right. Cars often speed here too which makes crossing dangerous. Lights or a zebra crossing would help alert drivers to the presence of pedestrians.
