A Blocked/Damaged problem has been found

Reported via desktop in the Blocked/Damaged category by West Northamptonshire Council at 17:14, Tue 30 April 2024 using FixMyStreet Pro

Sent to West Northamptonshire Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5917404.

Fix my street ref 5896407, screenshot attached.

Pic attached of blocked drain on Heldon Road, Greatworth.

My reply from 'fix my street ' says that this drain has been inspected and case has been closed with no work required, this picture was taken this morning and as you can see the drain is full of mud, which is very smelly.

Another resident has also raised this recently and was told that the road was inaccessible due to HS2, this is not the case. Helmdon road CANNOT be accessed from the B4525 (Welsh Lane) but CAN be accessed from the village centre, near the shop.

I would like to raise my concern as to what the inspection actually involved because as far as I can see nothing has been done.

  • Update, please see pic taken today 21 May following a night of rain, nothing has been done, the drain is FULL of mud and no rain water can drain away.

    Please arrange a visit ASAP

Please note, this is not even outside MY house, I just walk past it every morning when I walk my dogs.

    It needs sorting

  • The location shown is a bit further up the road than where the drain is, the blocked drain is about a hundred metres down the road between the entrance to Peveril Road and an alleyway that also leads to Peveril Road
