Car parking in coronation road

Reported in the Car parking category anonymously at 14:18, Mon 25 May 2009

Sent to East Hertfordshire District Council 1 minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 59096.

Our understanding is that the proposed redevelopment of the Charvills site is now on hold indefinitely. Residents were told that McCarthy & Stone would be instrumental in getting residents' parking installed in Coronation Road as part of the site development. Communications from HCC appeared to be in agreement that residents' parking was appropriate for this road. Can you please advise what will happen about residents' parking in the interim as the parking situation is now intolerable primarily because non-residents working in the town/London use this road as a free public car park from around 7.30am until 7.30pm daily. Where are residents supposed to park should they dare to actually use their cars during this time? It's only a matter of time before more residents receive parking tickets for trying to park anywhere in the vicinity.
