Double Yellow Lines extending too far from corner

Reported via mobile in the Road signage category anonymously at 18:48, Thursday 25 April 2024 using FixMyStreet Pro

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5899810.

The double yellow lines extending from the corner of Whitby road up both sides of Bloomfield have been capped and shortened for many years. However the new tarmac covering the old lines regularly wears off (every year or so) and means that incorrect parking tickets are issued to residents parking legally by parking officers who are unaware of the current extent of the lines.

PLEASE can these old lines be covered permanently by hardwearing tarmac to the new shorter extent. These incorrect fines are a nuisance to people parking legally, and must be causing an unnecessary administrative burden to the council when they are inevitably cancelled.
