Tree/shrub overgrowing footway

Sent to Oxford City Council and Oxfordshire County Council 38 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 5891729.

No.6, reported many time and diligently ignored by somebody....dereliction of responsibility/duty by somebody... The tree/shrubs now catch my face as i try to pass. Cut the overhanging, obstructive foliage back (vertical to the back of the footway) and put a charge on the property it is simple, it really is - Highways Act 1980!

  • Thank you for your report. Landowners and occupiers are responsible for maintaining any boundary features on their property that adjoin public highways and affect highway safety. In this case, the highway appears to be impacted, so we will contact the land/property owner. If necessary, further action will be taken.
