Road surface breaking up on roundabout
Reported via mobile in the Pothole category anonymously at 17:14, Tue 23 April 2024
Sent to Hampshire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5890567.
The road surface is breaking up in numerous places around this roundabout (feeding from/to A303) resulting in several growing potholes. These are occurring such that cars and especially motorcycles are weaving to take avoiding action, significantly increasing the risk of collision with other road users or a motorcyclist being thrown from their bike.

Council responded previously that this road surface damage was in course of action for repair, but it still has not been repaired and neither has there been any forecast repair date.

Despite having reported a couple of months that the road surface was breaking up in numerous places on this major roundabout, there has still been no action to repair it. Hampshire Council reported some time ago that "repair work is planned" but have not committed to any sort of time frame. Will it tahr a serious accident here before they do anything?
