A selection of potholes on High Street Weston Favell
Reported via desktop in the Potholes / Highway Condition category anonymously at 18:01, Thu 18 April 2024
Sent to West Northamptonshire Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5871798.
There are about 8 potholes of various sizes on High Street Weston Favell in a 25 metre section between the Pyket Way turnoff and the Bold Dragoon pub -a notoriously high traffic area linking the Wellingborough Rd and Billing Rd East. Although remedial work was done a few weeks ago on 2 or 3 of the very deepest (without notice during rush hour) the remaining ones are all rapidly increasing in size and will cause damage to tires and suspension.

October is a joke. Get Larratt down to see how bad it is. It’s so narrow here that there’s no option to drive round them. Just tonight I saw a Tesco van crash through two potholes. That’ll break a few eggs.

These potholes are extremely hazardous and likely to damage car tyres and wheels. It is impossible to avoid them due to the narrowness of the road and parked cars. It is absolutely unacceptable to state that they will not be fixed for 6 months.

Start emailing local councillors for the Riverside Park Ward. This situation is unacceptable. stephen.hibbert@westnorthants.gov.uk penelope.flavell@westnorthants.gov.uk andrew.kilbride@westnorthants.gov.uk

It seems that no one is taking any notice and the potholes are now presenting a real problem because quite obviously everyone is doing their best to drive up and down the street avoiding them and it’s impossible now to avoid all four without straddling the pavement. Please will the council do something about this , thank you so very much
