  • Please find a further complaint regarding the A428 and the slip road into Little Houghton. David Deacon, 49 Bedford Road, NN7 1AB is very concerned about the current sight line which is masked by vegetation overgrowth and is making the junction to and from the A428 dangerous. He sent me the enclosed map as he doesn't have access to Fix My Street. I would appreciate action on this matter as it is a Highway Safety issue.

  • On 13 May 2024 you said - We have inspected the area and can confirm this will be rectified within the next 26 weeks, however, we hope to be conducting the works by October 22nd 2024. This date is unacceptable. Since the 13th I have received further complaints about the route out of Little Houghton West onto the A428 as the grass is so long it is difficult to pull out safely. I would appreciate it if you would reschedule the works so that we can avoid a major accident.

  • I am asking that this item be resolved before October 22nd 2024 which is unreasonable in the circumstances that it has been outstanding since early May 2024.

  • I have just received another complaint about this problem as the residents are telling me that they are unable to see the traffic in order to pull out safely. This is clearly a road safety issue and it needs to be a priority.
