Parking dangerously and inconsierately

Reported via desktop anonymously at 09:04, Sun 14 April 2024

Sent to West Northamptonshire Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5849122.

Cars are regularly parking (just as you enter Kendal Close) and one day an accident is going to happen. When approaching Kendal Close from Booth Lane South it is a bit of a ‘blind bend’. The Highway Code (Rule 250) says you must park 10 metres (32 feet) away from a turning. This turning needs double yellow lines on, at that point, because a blue car and others are parking there regularly - sometimes so close to the ‘blind bend’ turning that you could go smack into it. Another problem with this land that leads to our houses is when there is a football match on, either in the college or Eastfield Park. Cars ignore the white lines you Put down a long time ago and they double park the entire length of the street. This means that if 2 cars from opposite ends meet in the middle then one has to reverse all the way.
