Too many traffic lights on a very short stretch of road

Reported via desktop in the Traffic lights category anonymously at 20:44, Tue 9 April 2024

Sent to Glasgow City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5831488.

I am not expecting this to be fixed because I don't think there is an easy and quick fix to it except maybe synchronizing all the lights? If you travel from city centre towards Maryhill it is easy to mistake next set of traffic lights for the closest one. I saw a very dangerous situation when a bus was stopped at the Garrioch Road intersection stop, and visually blocking the red light on the left while the next pedestrian crossing was green. I was unsure myself for a moment if I can go through and then saw a car in front of me going through. Luckily there were no other cars coming as it was 6am on a Saturday, but I can easily see why they did it - there was only one red light visible for them (and me), on the right hand side of the road, while they could see about 6 green lights of the next two pedestrian crossings.
