Cars parked dangerously blocking view

Reported in the Car parking category anonymously at 13:28, Thu 5 February 2015

Sent to Rushmoor Borough Council 2 minutes later

A lot of vehicles park their cars along the stretch of road outside the gardens of numbers 13 & 13A, even though the households opposite all have private drives they could use. This blocks the view of people coming out of their driveways (11, 13, 13A, 15, 15A) and also traffic coming in the opposite direction on the other side of the road. It also blocks the view for pedestrians crossing the road for the local coop shop. A number of near miss accidents have been noticed & narrowly avoided. It would make a lot of sense to put double yellow lines down on this side of the road to encourage local residence to use their driveways & help avoid a potentially fatal accident.

  • This problem is still present and never improved. Further very near misses have been witnessed and experienced. Cars drive very fast down this road, so it's only a matter of time before a serious accident happens.

  • Serious problem still not resolved. They need to put down double yellow lines to stop vehicles parking on this stretch of road urgently before an accident happens. Also Woburn Avenue needs something to slow down vehicles which regularly drive 40-50mph + in this 30mph limit!
