Blocked drains, Road is flooded
Reported via mobile in the Flooding on Road category anonymously at 13:59, Sun 7 April 2024
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5819163.
This road has been flooded at the bottom of the hill for months, due to either blocked drains or a leak. Would be good to get this cleared, not good to drive through to get to work. Very dangerous!

It's been a hot dry week in June yet there's still a stream growing on the cycle path and silting up the road too so it's on its way past the first drain and building towards the second - again. Please have another look at all the updates and photos on ENQ24991416, this cannot be lost in the mass closing of flooding incidents written off as unavoidable weight of water in winter. There is clearly an underlying problem here, all year round, whatever the weather. Surely it will be cheaper and easier to fix if it's dealt with sooner rather than later - please don't wait til the next time it rains hard in winter, or it causes the kind of expensive damage you can't ignore, or an accident that hurts someone, you have a chance to get ahead of that.

Thank you for proactively bringing the drainage issue at Milton Heights to our attention. Your vigilance helps us maintain the quality of our highways. We are pleased to inform you that the Parish or Town of Hendred is scheduled for gully emptying in the first quarter of this financial year. While severe weather may cause delays, we are committed to thoroughly cleansing all Highway Surface Water Assets in the area within this timeframe.
