Road

Sent to Moray Council 1 minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 58177.
Potholes are starting to appear and need repairing urgently and properly, if unrepaired then the council is putting motorcyclists and cyclists at risk. In fact this stretch of road needs resurfacing due tto its poor condition, not tarwashed with grit thrown on top as seems to be the cheap and quick option.

My problem was acknowledged by the Council, however, as expected they have just repaired the pothole with a poorly done patch repair that looks like it will break up before summers end. The road really does need a proper resurfacing but I doubt that will happen as it will be 'taken on risk' (not theirs of course) due to funding priorities!

After some delay the problem was fixed, however, like most of the repairs in Moray it is a poor and cheap repair. The repair is unlikely to last through the winter and is very bumpy. This means that due to the roughness and heavy vehicles hitting the repair the road immediately around it will suffer damage. The road needs resurfacing and not just filled with hardcore and topped with some tarmac in a quick and slapdash (cheap) way.
