I turned into Quiet street from Milsom street on Thursday 28th March in the afternoon around 4.45pm. I promptly went flying, having fallen over the yellow road sign that had fallen over in the middle of the pavement. I injured my leg and wrist. The manager of Music Biz came to my aid to help me up and offered me a seat in his shop whilst I sobbed with pain and shock. He stood the sign back up, hence the photo of it upright. I returned on Friday to take photos of it, and other fallen road sign on the pavement in Milsom street and on the corner of the Guildhall. I am a fairly fit mid 60 year old with good eyesight, but I still fell over the unexpected fallen sign in Quiet street. I don’t understand why these sign are placed on pavements anyway. Upright and fallen, they are obstacles to pedestrians. I was also shocked to see other instances of fallen signs, potentially causing further falls and accidents. In addition, the e- scooters outside the Guildhall are also blocking the pavement and are dangerous to pedestrians.
