Deadly flooding due to negligent council
Reported via desktop anonymously at 11:27, Mon 1 April 2024
Sent to Horsham District Council and West Sussex County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5790111.
Every single time it rains, the entire carriageway is covered with 2” or more of surface water because the council FAILS to clear the drains, clear the gullies, repair the maintenance gullies. Reported repeatedly since October 23, and every ticket close. When challenged, the highways state they’ve been instructed to close ticket. But still remains unresolved. What will it take for the negligent council to act? Death?

Nothing been done. Repeatedly raised tickets since October. Even yesterday, still flooding. All council does is close ticket’s be sure they say people have reported it. Yet, still zero resolution.

Since October 2023, multiple complaints and tickets raised to the council that every single time it rains, the entire carriageway become flooded with at least 2 inches of water. West Sussex is negligent because as of 25 may 2024, it is still not fixed. Absolutely incompetent negligence.
Shall we wait for people to die and their loved ones to sue you?
