Pavement/footpath is barely walkable for much of the route along B4114 from LE9 6EY to Whistle Meadows.

Reported via mobile in the Pavements/footpaths category anonymously at 14:53, Sun 31 March 2024

Not reported to council

This is the pedestrian footpath from Sutton in the Elms to Narborough and in many places, due to neglect & overgrown vegetation, the path is barely 1 foot wide. It is extremely dangerous for pedestrians due to close passing traffic traveling at speeds of 50mph. There is no footpath on the opposite side and so passing pedestrians are forced to walk on the highway.

Updates

  • After reviewing the picture and Google street view that is not a footpath.

What appears to be a pavement just seems to be loose pieces of tarmac from the road. It may be worth getting in touch with LCC about this but I doubt they would install a footway on the dual carriageway.
