Reported via desktop in the Pothole category anonymously at 17:43, Thursday 28 March 2024

Sent to Hampshire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5779555.

This defect was reported almost a month ago. The surface has no broken leaving sharp exposed edges of metal covers. This is on a blind corner when turning into Station Road and not visible until almost on the defect. Position is VERY dangerous for cyclists/motor cyclists. Raised metal edges likely to rip tyres ...... This location has been previously repaired. An URGENT response and proper repair is now required

  • Still no sign of any action and the exposed ironworks are now more exposed! Underlying road surface has broken away and stones are being scattered around. As a result holes are deepening. Hampshire have indicated that there is work n progress - really? Some sign would be good, repair even better. This is at a blind corner, vehicles turning in from Arnewood Bridge Road can only see the damaged surface at the last minute. If other vehicles emerging from Station Road then the defect cannot be avoided. This is dangerous.
