The parking on the yellow lines outside 30 Spencer Square and indeed Al of Spencer Square is still a problem. Very little action seems to have been taken to resolve this problem.

This is not the only car that parks illegally on the double yellow lines outside 30 Spencer Square. Another car, Black Range Rover, is another offender. This car also uses a disabled parking permit. I believe a disabled permit has a time limit. I think 10 hours probably exceeds that limit? As far as I can little,or action, has been taken by enforcement officers to discourage illegal parking in Spencer Square.

Although the car mentioned before in my report still parks, in my opinion illegally, others also park on all the double yellow line areas in Spencer Square. This is a continual problem and there has been little or no evidence of traffic warden action to rectify the situation.

Not only this car but others regularly park overnight on the double yellow lines. There is to date little or no action by enforcement officers to discourage illegal parking.

There is still no action from traffic enforcement officers. Infact a car was parked on the double yellow lines outside 30 Spencer Square for over two days- no action. Every night you will find the whole square completely full , cars and vans parked on all double line areas and often on the pavements, completely obstructing the passage of pedestrians.

The parking on double yellow lines in Spencer Square and the surrounding streets is chaotic. After 18.00hours is especially bad. there is no action by enforcement officers so the situation remains unchanged and will continue to do so.

This problem is not resolved nor do I think it ever will be as there has been little or no action by enforcement officers. Almost without exception there are cars parked on the double yellow lines and to add insult to injury there are even vans parked on the pavement blocking pedestrian access.

Hello
Our officers are regularly patrolling Spencer Square early in the morning and late at night as well as day time patrols.
Since 01/09/15 we have issued 20 PCN's in the area for parking on double yellow lines which shows regular enforcement is taking place.
We will continue to monitor the area.
Kind Regards

I feel that the response from the council that the are is regularly monitored is slightly mendacious. This weekend for example several cars were illegally parked and to my knowledge no action was taken by enforcement officers. Even now on Monday morning at 08.22. There are still vehicles parked on double lines and ticket has been issued. 20 tickets issued fron 1/09/15 is a pretty low count as there are regularly about 6 cars illegally parked each night and at the weekends often the number is in double figures. Despite the council protestation that they they take the matter seriously, regularly patrol and monitor the area, there is little sign of sanction or improvement.

After my last response there was some action for a few days but that soon trailed off so we are now back to where we started. Several cars,up to 10, illegally parked overnight in the Spencer Square area.

WE have had visits from wardens but it is still sporadic. Until regular visits are made to discourage those who think it is perfectly fine to park on double lines all night the problem will persist.

The approach to illegal parking is inconsistent. On occasion action is taken then for many days little or no action. Tonight their ate at least 5 cars parked on double yellow lines in Spencer Square. I have no confidence that any action will be taken by traffic enforcement officers.

The situation remains unchanged. Traffic enforcement is sporadic at best. There are, as I type this, 5/6 cars parked on double lines are no action taken.
